Letting your guests know what you would like as a gift for your wedding can be tricky. You don’t want to sound cheeky, but at the same time, you don’t want to end up with lots of unnecessary gifts. Traditionally, home gifts were perfect for weddings, as many couples had only just bought a house together and needed the every day appliances. Now a days, we see lots of couples tying the knot who have lived together for years, therefore owning all the home essentials.
Firstly you need to decide what you would like from your guests: Online gift lists are a very popular choice, as well as contributions to honeymoons, charity donations or no gifts at all!
From here you can think how you will word this on your invitation. We have some suggestions below to help you on your way.

Contributions to our Honeymoon….
Your presence is present enough, but if you would like to buy us a gift,

Then while we’re relaxing on the beach,

for our honeymoon trip after tying the knot.

For an overseas wedding…
You have already come all this way,
to be with us on our special day,
you being here means the world to us,
we do not require your gifts.
